The purpose of the home weatherization program is to provide no-cost weatherization upgrades for income qualified households in the Town of Truckee (the “Program”). NEXT STEP: Conduct an initial site assessment of the Property to determine the Property’s eligibility for the Program and to prepare a proposal for the repairs necessary for weatherizing the Property. These repairs may include, for example, sealing air leaks around doors or windows; adding or replacing insulation in attics, walls, floors, or crawl spaces; repairing or replacing windows and doors; repairing roof or gutter systems; insulating exposed pipes; and performing HVAC maintenance or upgrades to enhance heating efficiency. Based on the initial site assessment, the Contractor may prepare a proposal for the recommended Potential Repairs, and a separate home improvement contract will be entered into between you, the legal owner of the Property, and Contractor, detailing the scope, timeline, and terms for the Potential Repairs. If the Property is chosen to participate in the Program, the Town of Truckee will pay for the Potential Repairs to weatherize the Property as outlined by Contractor.
